Galup VR Experience Study Guide
Produced by Australian Teachers of Media (ATOM) & Same Drum in collaboration with Paulette Gittins, Poppy van Oorde-Grainger, Bec Garlett, Glenda Kickett, Ian Wilkes, Lois May, Ted Wilkes and Bec Allen. This study guide is designed to accompany the virtual reality film Galup VR Experience and/or the documentary The Making of Galup VR Experience. Activities are for suitable for students in years 8 - 12 but can be adapted for all ages, and each activity links directly to the Australian Curriculum.
Akolkol Dastan Gesa 2025 Evaluation
Between 2025 and 2026, Same Drum partnered with Aranmore Catholic College’s Intensive English Centre to produce a community arts project for young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds. The project engage students in song writing, dance, performance, film and publishing a music video and short film. The project was externally evaluated to assess how the project met objectives around increasing the participants’ well being – a main goal of the project.
