Bec Garlett

Bec Garlett is a Wadjak, Balladong and Yamatji woman who is passionate about sharing her culture and stories through art, performance and tourism. Since graduating from Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2010, Bec has worked in the arts as an actor, mentor, storyteller, workshop facilitator, stage manager and writer. Bec won Best Actor for her role in Paramatta Girls in 2011 and Best Supporting Actress in a Play at the Finley Awards for her leading role in Last Cab to Dawin in 2018. Currently Bec is working as professional storyteller under the name Warlitj Productions and as a Noongar language teacher at Kiara College where she also co-teaches Aboriginal and Intercultural Studies.
